Dear Reader,

I am never certain what it is that people are looking to find when they go to a page title “About Me”, so I am not really sure what to say here.  In an attempt to get it right, to have that special WOW, I went so far as to research what “Top Web Masters” have to say on the subject.  Their advice was either very boring, or very showy, and I know that’s NOT me.  So then I decided to read the bios of several agents in my area, trying to see what they felt was important to you, the reader.  Again, pretty boring! As a real estate agent I know what all of the initials, abbreviations and awards mean, but I still found myself not wanting to read all of that nonsense, and I can only imagine how you must feel reading bio after bio of confusing information. 

For the sake of being just like everyone else, I could run on and on about my great accomplishments, of which I have many.  West USA Realty, after all, gave me the prestigious title of “President’s Circle Multi-Million Dollar Producer” (which means that I have done substantially well in real estate for many years) I am also a member of the National Association of Women Executives and the Peoria Chamber of Commerce.  But I don’t think that is what you really need or want to know “About Me”.  It is what I have accomplished but it isn’t me.

I could tell you all about my wonderful husband and my two teenage children.  I love them dearly and enjoy bragging about them as much as the next person enjoys bragging about their family.  My husband is a very successful engineer and my high school sweetheart.  My children are always busy participating in some sport or activity to keep them busy and out of trouble (volleyball, cheerleading, ice hockey and guitar, just to name a few!)  They are great kids with big dreams and infectious laughs, but what does all of this really tell you “About Me”?  Not much, but I do love to brag about my family, so that was loads of fun for me!

Over the years, I have found that most people initially selected their agent based on personality, and then keep their agent based on knowledge and ability.  With that in mind, below is a brief description of my personality.  Please keep in mind that there is no way to describe my personality fully in words, you’ll just have to experience it for yourself.  I will also provide a brief description of my knowledge and ability, and welcome any questions that you may have.  I hope that you will feel free to call or email me if I don’t touch on a quality that matters most to you.   

 My Personality:

q       As you have probably noticed, I am pretty direct and I am not afraid to face reality or to share reality with you. 

q       I don’t get overly excited to the point of losing composure, although, when my clients do, I understand.  This is a very emotional time for people, so feel free to let it out (I carry tissues).

q       I am always professional, but I am not so uptight that I can’t let my hair down and get my hands dirty when I need to.

q       I always take seriously what is important to my clients and respect their needs and wishes.

q       I am a spiritual person, but I don’t offend easily.

q       I have a great deal of patience (As I mentioned, I have two teens and oh how they love to test this virtue daily!)

q       I love to shop, so I won’t mind if you need to see a home twice before making a decision. 

q       I am a strong negotiator.  I find the talent is in the presentation.  Growing up in a household of 4 children, negotiating was a survival skill (I am the oldest in case it matters).

q       I am compassionate and caring and can empathize with what my clients are going through.

q       I do admit to occasionally being a few minutes late.  Traffic happens, so know that I will understand if you are a few minutes late on occasion also.

q       I hate to admit it, but I am terrible with names, unless I get a chance to write it down.  I will, however, remember almost everything else you say, nearly word for word (which drives my husband crazy).

q       I am a gentle spoken person; I don’t see any need to assert my strength with a tight hand shake or loud voice.  I would rather let the value of my words take care of it all for me.

q       I am very creative; I really enjoy doing advertisement layouts and making fliers.

q       As strange as most people find this, I love to speak publicly, strangers don’t bother me and I love the opportunity to present the latest home or land listing. 

q       Best of all, I have a great sense of humor and I LOVE A GREAT JOKE AND A REAL LAUGH! 

As for my knowledge and ability, I will try to keep it short and sweet as I already know you don’t want to read some long boring resume.  I have been a REALTOR® for 10 years.  I have successfully managed two real estate offices, been a real estate trainer, I have NEVER had a complaint filed against me, and I am a member in good standing with the Glendale Board of Realtors.  I have an outstanding sales record, and I am widely respected by my peers and co-workers.  I am also a FULL-TIME AGENT.  This is my career and I take it very seriously.

Thank you, for reading all “About Me”.  I thought for sure I would have lost you already.  Hopefully, you now have enough information “About Me” to make you feel confident enough in my services to call or email me.  I am excited to get to know you and look forward to working with you.
